Chemical characterization

General information

  • Remove immediately contamined clothing and shoes and launder thoroughly before reusing.
  • If the patient is likely to become unconscious, place and transport in stable sideways position.
  • In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

After inhalation

  • Remove affected person from danger area.
  • Ensure supply of fresh air.
  • Irregular breathing/no breathing: artificial respiration.
  • Summon a doctor immediately.

After skin contact

  • When in contact with the skin, clean with soap and water.
  • Do NOT use solvents or thinners.

After eye contact

  • Separate eyelids, wash the eyes thoroughly with water (15 min.)
  • Eye treatment by an Occulist.

After ingestion

  • Do not induce vomiting.
  • Summon a doctor immediately.
  • Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Methods for cleaning up/taking up

  • Contain and collect spillage with non-combustible absorbent materials, e.g. sand, earth, vermiculite, diatomaceous earth and place in container for disposal according to local regulations (see section 13).
  • Clean preferably with a detergent; avoid use of solvents.

    Ensure adequate ventilation.
    The product should only be used in areas from which all naked lights and other sources of ignition have been excluded.

    Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.
    Always keep in containers of same material as the original one.
    Never use pressure to empty : container is not a pressure vessel.
    Prevent unauthorised access.
    No smoking.

    Keep away from oxidizing agents, from strongly alkaline and strongly acid materials.
